Behind every program is a community of youth, families, mentors, and supporters working together to build confidence, leadership, and opportunity for the next generation.

As an U.S. Army retiree, LaKeisha developed a strong foundation in structure, accountability, and leadership that continues to shape her work today. Her academic background in psychology and organizational leadership informs her approach to developing programs that build confidence, character, and long-term impact.
Overcoming her own academic challenges, including once leaving community college with a 1.1 GPA, LaKeisha later returned to earn a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership with a 3.8 GPA. That journey now informs her commitment to helping youth recognize their potential, redefine their path, and lead with confidence.
Through BeeLieve The Promise, she is building structured environments where youth are challenged, supported, and equipped to lead.

BeeLieve The Promise began with a conversation at home.
In Spring 2024, LaKeisha’s daughter shared that many of her peers would not be able to attend summer camp because of cost. She asked if they could pay for everyone to attend. When that wasn’t possible, she asked a different question:
“Can we create one instead, if I help you?”
That moment became the foundation of BeeLieve The Promise.
Together, they helped create what would become Camp BeeLieve. What started in the basement of a home quickly grew into a broader mission focused on leadership, mentorship, structure, and opportunity for youth who deserve access, support, and the chance to thrive.
